Melting Snow & Heavy Rains

Winter and Spring in Michigan can bring with it all sorts of weather. One week we can have a foot of snow and the next it all melts with warmer weather and rain. This causes issues in many basements in the area. The ground can't hold all of the water and it starts seeping in through basement walls and windows. The sump pumps can't always keep up. It is important to remain dilligent in keeping your basement dry. Where able, run a second sump pump out in your yard and run it to a drain or a drainage ditch.
